Best to use rechargeable batteries with this puppy, otherwise you would be contributing to the landfill problem. Even when your C batteries are exhausted, you can always recharge them when you arrive back home, which means you need not fret about harming the environment further by tossing used batteries away. You will need to use Apple's MagSafe Airline Adapter to connect it to your MacBook Air though, so you have been warned.
